Comment: You should start a Panama branch of Zagat’s dining out guide. What a good review of food and restaurants. I’m a former New Yorker - born upper East Side, lived on Christopher street until moving to New England.
Question: What NYC neighborhood might Casco Viejo compare to in terms of safety (if a comparison can be made)?
Okay, after listening to me moan for months and after my last entry where I considered drugging the neighbor’s obnoxious, loud dog, I did it. I found a way to drug the thing and once I realized it didn’t kill the dog, I cannot say I felt a moment of remorse. Melatonin. Crushed with a hammer and stuck on the side of a piece of turkey. He would sleep and I would get a noise free afternoon.
Living in New York City will definitely spoil you. Every block has great food. Pick an ethnicity and you can have it delivered. And it will be the best, not just in the city, but perhaps in the world. Without being that level of superior, a restaurant doesn’t survive. It’s survival of the feasts up there.
